Talk about a dream come true. Dylan got to meet Sir Topham Hatt, ride on a train pulled by Thomas and expereince the whole Sodor experience while being surrounded by real trains and genuine Thomas merchandise. And we even got to take the train to Paradise.
Thomas & Friends visited Strasburg, PA, and so did we. Sir Topham Hatt was very welcoming and Thomas smiled for the boys.
Dylan seemed to enjoy it just a little bit more than Ian.
The boys each got tattooed.
Thomas, who is a very useful engine, is also a fairly loud engine. But Ian thought he could out do Thomas, who really is a genuine tank engine running on coal and and water.
Photo-ops were everywhere.
And there were train rides everywhere too. We rode a pump car, the oldest tram engine in the US and a minature train.
But after riding on Thomas, the biggest thing was an hour long excursion to Paradise, PA and back on old #90. It was scenic and went through some Amish (and non-Amish) farms.
With so much going on, it was plenty fun just to sit down and watch. We had lunch by the tracks and saw Thomas at least a half dozen times. We also saw a caboose and the train to paradise and a motorcar over and over again. Just sitting around was plenty fun.
